🎊👏Congratulations to Cameron Wood on his debut for the Gordon Rugby – The Highlanders first grade side earlier this year. Cameron has cemented a regular starting spot as either a lock or blindside flanker. At just 21 years old , this is a marvellous achievement and very proud moment for him and his family.

Cameron played for many years at St Ives Rugby. Starting in minis and progressing through the junior age groups until he concentrated on playing in the Knox 1st XV.

Cameron’s father, Richard also played a large number of matches for St Ives throughout both the junior and senior teams. Richard also spent many seasons coaching, leading The Saints to many fabulous victories, including the awesome 2015 tour of New Zealand.

This week, Gordon defeated the Hunter Wildfires in a thrilling top of the table matchup. This places Gordon on top of the Shute Shield after 9 rounds.

Well done Cameron, we’ll be cheering you on throughout the season and really look forward to a successful Shute Shield 2023 Premiership.
